The Crown Colony of Alaska

With the first settlements and trade posts established in the mid-1700s, Alaska became an officially recognised colony of the Commonwealth in 1793.

Also known as Polish Brazil, Morska Wola was purchased by the Crown from Portugal in 1902 and populated by Polish settlers, with the main settlement of Morska Wola also serving as a naval base.

The Livonian Colonies of New Livonia and New Courland

The island of New Courland was initially settled in the mid-to-late 17th century by settlers from Courland. The island of Trinidad was then resettled by Livonian and New Courland settlers from 1777 onwards and renamed to New Livonia. The Islands were then incorporated into one colonial territory and are subject to the government of the Duchy of Livonia.

The Crown Colony of Madagascar

The Crown Colony of Madagascar was officially established by the Crown as a protectorate in 1884 and then became a Crown Colony in 1899.

Cameroon was designated as the Commonwealth's share in the Scramble for Africa following the Africa Conference. It officially became a Crown Colony in 1884.

Established in the mid-17th century by the Duchy of Courland (then a fief of the Commonwealth), the colony of the Gambia remains under the control of the Duchy of Livonia.
